I think they're a victim of their own success.  There have been supply hiccups before.  If you can't wait, get Pirelli Angel GTs as second best.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I finished up with a pair of discounted PR3s, as the 4s were unavailable.  They also has some sets of PR2s even cheaper.

I just got a pair of PR4 GTs from Brisbane motorcycles last Friday on special for $420 fitted and balanced and they told me they had plenty in stock.

Cheers,
Gary

Not sure I would agree with the second best comment, but then again I have not used the PR4 yet.   Angel GT have been a great tyre, as was the PR3. Both gave me excellent mileage and handling.  Either tyre, i.e., Angel GT or PR3, would be suitable.  Mind you, I will be aiming to get the PR4 shortly myself.

TJ I had a look at CC's pr4's after close to 3500km of straight roads from Alice, Barkly Hs and on to Bingara and they look to be wearing nicely...no squared off mark whatsoever.

He took a roos bone through the rear tyre on his return to Alice. Blackall tyre guy had no trouble getting a pr4's. had them is stock.

More than once I've been told this and that cant be got at a dealers. Only to look through their stock and found just what I was after and noticed heaps of a superseded tyres.
If I can afford it I'll buy two of the older tyre at a reduced price. Suits me suits them too.

one of the joys? of living in a regional area is not being able to get the deals available in the bigger cities.. While i could take a run up to brissy/ Gold coast. i would be losing most of a day which might well be better spent elsewhere.
the cost involved just about takes away the savings
So I pay a bit more and get things local. usually steal my wifes car and drop the wheels off giving me something to run around in the meanwhile. Really should build a tyre change machine. yet another project.

So So true , you live where you live and accept what is. Other than the joy of the ride, you wont go 200 k`s to save 50 bucks just not worth your time.....I to like to support my local business!.............................................. :wht11
Only ever ride my own ride, helps me to stay above ground!

Spoke with MC shop in Emerald and they were told none available in Australia (this was back in August) after checking with two stores in Rockhampton who also couldn't locate any.  Interestingly, Jake Wilson also had a hiccup as well but eventually 2 sets arrived in CQ (one for another ST owner here and one for me.  Final price delivered here was the same as Gadget Gary's special but they not on yet!!!  Oh and I'm still waiting to hear from one of the Rocky dealers....... but they will be fitted by my friendly local business!  :clap
