Great Cycle Challenge for Kids Cancer Research
« on: October 31, 2014, 07:41:56 AM »
Some may be aware that Pockey and I along with our young bloke have been cycling this month along with many hundreds of other people nationwide to raise money for Kids Cancer research......

Here's a screen shots of the results and stats on the last day of the challenge:

As you can see we are getting close to 2 million dollars nationwide with over 1.4 million kilometres ridden......

Jaydon and I have finished our challenge kilometres for the month......but Pockey has to ride 28k's as soon as she finishes work this afternoon......and is going to be WET  :crackup  :crackup but she is determined to finish the challenge.

Jaydon and I are going to ride with her....but if you Would like to help her along you can sponsor her on this link ----->https://greatcyclechallenge.com.au/Riders/JeanGaddes

Thank you so much to those who have sponsored our challenge to help kids with Cancer and research into this horrible disease.  :thumbsup  :thumbsup

Well done to Pockey, Jaydon and Chris.  Come on OzSTOCers, let's get behind this campaign to fight Kid's Cancer.

My niece, aged 7 has been battling a terrible brain tumor for the 16 mts, and had endured surgery, radiotherapy and chemo that has all but killed her.    We need to rid society of this curse that randomly attacks our kids, or learn how to understand and manage it better.  I've pitched in my support, as have others in OzSTOC.   :clap

Thank you to the few members that sponsored us for the Cancer challenge ride. I completed the ride yesterday doing just over my 250 Kms. We raised all up just over the $2 million dollars and rode nearly 1.5 million kms. A great effort by everyone involved.Absolutely fantastic  :runyay

The screenshot shows our team effort here in Guyra raising over $4700.

Just seeing a smile on these kids faces just brings tears to all our eyes and realising that every day is so precious for these little guys.

Thanks again and will be riding the roads again next time.
