SA RTE (Ride to Eat) Explained - Please Read
« on: December 20, 2024, 11:06:01 AM »
Hey Guys and Girls,

Pinched this from another Forum thread, but feel it's worth posting here.

As OZSTOC is a very informal place to be, participation in events and RTE are NOT mandatory or required or suggested... If you want to go, then go. If you don't, then don't.

We post them as a means to try and get people involved and give people a place to go. We provide destinations throughout the year and post them up on google maps (https://maps.app.goo.gl/XksBiaKBrcVFAUky6).

We try to get at least one a month (depending on freezing cold winter or boiling hot summer).

We try to spread them out across the state to give members who are not based in Adelaide a chance to come along. This will sometimes result in Overnighters, rather then the days trips.

Having said all that, if you want to go somewhere or have a place to ride to which isn't part of the yearly list...

Then by all means post it up.

Day trip, Mid week trip, overnight trip, run down to shops for some milk trip.

This site is about you, it's about me, it's about every member, we're all equal on here.

Thanks   :hatwave

(Thanks to Abe & Marcus for the words above)

Cheers

Michael

It's all relative, Bodo.

Compared to a hot summer day, a cold one in winter is not just cold, it's bloody freezing, even if it never gets below 10C.

Currently in Thailand ( big surprise there), over here below 17C is considered freezing, and the locals are wearing snow ski jackets, even the dogs have jumpers.

It seems that a little chill didn't worry these riders:
