Hey J.C. It does definitely have Fuel Injection but does not have ABS although I have never found that a problem. Give me a yell if you want to know anything else. Regards....Tony

I've retrieved the MCCruise control system from my wreck, so with the fuel injection, I can use that on your model.

While we were two up, loaded and towing a trailer on the Black Dog Ride Around Australia a few months ago, I discovered that the ABS works really well, just before we hit a kangaroo on the Nullarbor Plain. We stopped in a straight line, which was a real bonus. If the bike had got crossed up at all, the trailer may have caused us to come down.

The ABS was certainly of no use in the next incident, that wrote the bike off, though.

Still thinking......

Scary stuff J.C. But you are here to tell the tale at least.  Give it some thought and let me know.  I would love to sell it to someone from here as i know it would be used for its intended purpose.

We're all quite interested, but can only ride one bike at a time.    :grin

However, just so you don't feel unique, my last private sale of a bike took 6 months, with me dropping $100 per month.

Your not alone Estee. My St1300 has been For Sale for 5 or 6 months now, in that time I have had 2 phone calls. One guy was coming to look, I'm still waiting. The 2nd phone call was last night with a statement, 'we'll try and get down on Saturday to look at it". Not sure I should even stay home.
I had one sight unseen offer of $10,000.00 a couple of months ago, which I turned down (beginning to think I should have taken it). It's been on ebay now for 2 weeks, started at $11500.00 or Make an Offer with nil result. It was reduced to $11,000.00 or Make an Offer for the week just finished, I had an offer last night, $8000.00.

You've got to be kidding, life definitely wasn't meant to be this tough. It needs to go but I ain't giving it away for that sort of money. The trouble is, it's not being used and is depreciating further by the day. Not sure where to go with it.

I am in the same boat. Don't want to give mine away but riding it creates enormous grief after 4 lots of shoulder surgery. The fact I love the thing also makes me not want to give it away. I suppose we just wait and see. There will be someone out there that loves them as much as we do.

No worries J.C. Hope you got yourself a bargain.

I'm getting another black 2010 model for $14,500 + $665 freight. It has 22,600kms, good PR4 tyres and other things like an MCCruise Control, ZUMO350, (genuine Honda?) heated grips, fairing and mirror extensions and a Sargent seat.

Price reduced just a little bit more to $9650 ONO. Had a couple of nibbles but nothing I could call a decent bite.

Good luck Estee, you could try ebay for a 'set price or best offer'? Just a thought but you will probably only attract bargain hunters offering ridiculous prices, just as I did.

Well after a couple of nibbles, I delivered my baby to the care of its new owner tonight. He has been given a card and encouraged to get on here and join up. I did drop the price a little but rego was due in 8 weeks and sold it also without a RWC so I feel I still did ok. Thanks for all the advice from here while it has been for sale. I will still be around from time to time as well just keeping an eye on things. Cheers.

Well done Estee, you certainly have to be a bit flexible with pricing in the current market. There are lots of bikes For Sale on Ebay, Gumtree and Bikes Sales that are way overpriced for the market we have at the moment. Some people just aren't doing their research before they advertise and are way to optimistic as to what their ride is worth.

Wow!  That has been a saga for you.  I know what a relief it was when I sold my ST1100 after having two bikes to feed for months on end.  Followed by new regos, new RWC, near disks...    :'(

Congratulations on the sale, and good man for passing the OzSTOC card on.
All the best with your future endeavours.
