Got my Weeeee
« on: October 14, 2015, 09:51:09 PM »
Hello Team!

Well i have sold the ST, and i took delivery of my 2010 white 650 Strom today!

It is getting fully serviced on friday, new rear tyre fitted, and hopefully the goodies i have bought for it will arrive!

39L Shad topbox and plate

X-Grip with clamp for my phone/gps/mp3 player

2.1amp dual 12v usb ports

Once it is serviced I also have to fit the sump plate, and engine bars

So am hanging out to get it all fitted and go for a play!

Cheers

How are you dealing with the potential loss of power?

At least it's still white...    >:()
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Well done Streak.
I have fitted two of those sump guards to STroms and made a modification to hinge from the front so you can get the oil filter off without having to take the guard off, just undo the two bolts at the rear.

All good Sabie,

Bike passed roadworthy (Nick who owned the bike and i use the same mechanic)

Any new vehicle i buy i always get fully serviced and given a once over by my mechanic, i like to start with the bike tip top and ready to go, i did it with both STs and our car.

Rear tyre was only just good enough to pass roadworthy, my mechanic also fits tyres so rather than do 2000km and take it back for a new one i just decided to get it all done at the same time so I am good to go

After my off with the which came with the bike, I would start by changing tyres too. You don't always know how old (hardened) they are it how hard a compound they are.

If I had done what Steak is doing, I believe I could have avoided one stack.
Cheers,
Gary

Looks like u've got yourself a good "DL" (deal) there Streak - congrats!
2up tho, u will see your km's / litre plummet in comparison coz the STeed handles xtra weight with "relative" ease.
