"Council recently undertook a ‘just for fun’ Facebook poll on the ‘No Shit’ sticker that has been placed on the entrance to Sherlock town sign. Overwhelmingly the response was 94% in favour of leaving it there, indicating that some form of branding along this comic vein could be well received. Lead artist/writer Mark Thomson will develop this avenue further through direct consultation with the Sherlock community. Nature Play installations have some scope for an artwork budget that we can look to further funding later in the year."

I have passed through Sherlock a few times, east of Tailem bend on the road to Pinnaroo.
I added 'No sh*t?' to the sign way back in 1995, nice to see the tradition has been continued.

There's a road about 40 km east of Portland, that was originally called Condon Road, which leads to Bessiebelle. Council got sick and tired of repainting the sign, and it was renamed Portland Road around ten years or so ago.
