Home safe and relatively dry a little before 16:00

Carrol and I left at around 10:00 along with Draco

We headed out through Brisbane and onto the Pacific Motorway



It was good running (just a bit hot at 34 )



Then we ran into some heavy traffic crawling along at 40kph in a 110kph zone



But eventually our exit came up and we left the motorway just before the traffic got even worse



We passed a cool looking foot bridge and before we knew it we had arrived to the cool breezes of the coast









We found our way to the Southport Surf Life Saving Club where we were met by PC and NavGirl.



We headed over to the venue and were joined by tjmaskell & Hiromi a short time later
After a little chat we headed inside to a great table on the deck





It was so nice even the birds were inside enjoying the atmosphere 





We had a great meal and a great chat to everyone





Anyway it started to look a bit like a storm was on the way so we all called it a day and headed for home

On the way I got another one of the interesting Odo readings



It started to spit rain and then traffic started to slow





Anyway we made it the rest of the way home remaining fairly dry and not a moment too soon as it started to rain heavily a couple of minutes later.


All in all it was a great day out, Carrol and myself had an awesome time
