Seat covers

After suggestions for a sheepskin / lambswool seat cover. Just popped in to the Good Wool Store at Berry, and was quoted $209 which seems a bit ridiculous - that's half way to the cost of a fully customised MJM seat, just for a cover!

Maybe - But they last and do the job  My good wool seat cover has been on the OEM seat and Sargent seat since Sept 2010 and still looks the goods

Quality skins are very expensive, so if you add one hour for labour, $209 is probably not too bad if you are getting front and back.    I recently had a front only cover made for my Sargent seat by this local company  http://www.woolshedsheepskinproducts.com/   and it cost me $155.

I had the Good Wool Store make a custom cover for my ST1300 seats that had been modified by MJM of Goulbourn and they use high quality skins/fleece and the fit was perfect.

I have had them make seat covers for a number of my bikes and have never had cause to complain about quality or fit, I usually buy the seat raincover at the same time. I use that cover on the bike when overnight where no garaging is available to stop the due wetting the wool seat cover.

In fact I may even have a cover for the 1300's standard seat as I think that came with the bike when I bought it. I could be persuaded to part with it at the right price.

Then get an old car seat cover and cut to fit. Tie on with some cords under the seat.

I've had a quality fitted lambs wool cover for years but would prefer a comfortable seat. They do feel nice but makes little difference to the time you can sit on the OEM seat. Thats been my experience anyway.

I have a Sheepy Hollow seat cover that I got second hand. Made the world of difference on the ride to Perth. Much better than the sheepskin that came with my bike.
Interestingly if you look up sheepyhollow contoured seat covers they have different covers for the ABS ST1300 & non abs ST1300
