Hi Guys,
Just thought I would throw this discussion on here. Had a cleanout of my panniers, set top box and pie warmers. Realized shockingly that I had accumulated bits and pieces within all corners of each storage space. The items grew because of one situation or other that required a tool, spray, picker, file, tester, gauges, rags, emery cloth, wire, ect, ect, ect. you know the things that were handy at home and what if you need them on the road. Broken down and abandoned just because you left the special little gizmo that would be perfect at this time and why didn't you put it in the pannier.
Realize I have to do some editing to make space and lighten the load. Faced this dilemma when getting back with the grocery trolley with a little more that I planned and having to do some clever packing to load the STeed.
What advice would you give as the basics, I don't have the Honda tool kit. Use a small plastic case to fit tools in.
Cheers, Hobs.
I realize that riding long distance would change your carry-on. Did that when I rode from Whyalla to Newcastle, twice. (still think I carried too much, but you never know)
