The balancing thing could be useful but :think1 :think1 the following behind like a dog... I can't think of any reason I would need a bike to follow me like that :crazy

It is a nice looking bike though 8)

It's be interesting to know how they do it. They say that it is not using gyroscope technology, so I guess it must be using some back and forwards movement via electric motors to keep it upright. Bit like a cyclist balancing the bike by standing on the pedals and rocking back and forward with the steering at an angle.
The pictures showing the guy on the bike imply that HE doesnt really trust the technology. >:()

Why??
Technology for technology's sake. Why not invent a bike which goes for the ride while you stay home and watch tele?

Sounds more like a pet puppy... at least the puppy can be tied up outside the supermarket to prevent it following...  :grin

... could be distracting to other shoppers if it decided to follow you through the supermarket? :rofl

Handy for carrying your shopping though. And it would fit down the aisles better than the shopping trolleys in some stores.

Another amazing application of available technology.  Such things are only achievable because we have high speed integrated circuits that can process data effectively instantaneously and servo motors that respond equally well.  This prevents over-correction with continuous feedback loops so small movements suffice whereas if we do the same thing manually, much of our movements are compensating for over-corrections.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
