Metzler roadtech 01 front tyres

Hi team,
Can anyone tell me why metzler don't appear to make an 18 inch front tyre for the ST1300, I tried to get one for my last tyre change....zilch.

Found this one - maybe your tyre fitter's supplier is at fault

Thanks for that Allen, I have used the roadtech Z8 and found them good. Metzler have brought out a new roadtech they call the 01, they make the rear tyre for the 1300 but not a front 18 inch. Ąt the moment I am on Pirelli Angel GTS which are also good.😆

I have noticed that some tyres are coming out in only 17 inch - forgetting that a lot of older bikes don't run the same diameter wheel front and rear.

We have tyre issues with 1100 Rear as the 160/70ZR17 is now only made by two or three brands but the 160/60 size is readily available but not suitable for the 1100's weight. Just as well the 1300 rear fits which is next best option.

In my opinion the ST is still a competitive tourer and will be around for a bit yet😆😆
