My guess is a warm bed and a good rest before travelling onwards.
Well done, Dave. Around 2100 Km down for the day.

Alice Springs
One day you will wake up and there won't be anymore time to do the things you've always wanted so do them NOW!!!
Remember there are 7 days in a week and Someday isn't one of them!

Renmark is a further 1625 km ahead, when he becomes mobile.
Am waiting for Glympse link to become active again.
Link has been inactive for past 5 hours while he slept, and Dave probably having breakfast now.

NT is crap for phone signal

Slept at Polhill road side rest area .... v nice but woken by furious flies!

Am at Kulgera road house now and heading for Marla then next stop will be Coober pedy.

Kev ..... will send Glympse again as soon as signal strength is decent.

 :like

This did not send

I am now in Coober pedy

Hot!

Have lost the bolts to BOTH exhaust brackets. Seem sturdy enough for the lament but will need to attend to at Renmark.

An intelligent guess would put Dave somewhere near Glendambo / Pimba at present, depending on whether he has stopped for a meal yet..

I used to carry an optus mobile wifi modem on my travels until I went to Broken Hill and bar Broken Hill itself was useless after I left Burra.  I invested in a Telstra one after that ran out of credit and have never had any issues since.

Lets see now, it is about 180 Km to Port Augusta from Pimba, so he should be there in around an hour and three quarters, roughly.

Won't have anything until just out of Port Augusta and should be ok from there all the way to Renmark

Hold up at the bridge in the Port though depending on traffic - speed limit down to 25 k/h - the old bridge just east is no longer safe for foot traffic so pedestrians are using the main one - so state transport department reduced the limit - the fact that the bridge has a footpath each side of the lanes doesn't seem to matter.
