right handlebar switch box
« on: July 04, 2017, 12:11:07 PM »
Hello all you learned ST owners.
How do I remove the right handlebar switch box. I am attempting to put some heated grips on and need to remove the throttle tube. I have unscrewed two screws on the box and unscrewed the throttle cable from the box. The top portion of the box opens up but the bottom portion is still firmly attached to the handlebar.
Thank you for any help

Hello Brock
The heated grip I have is the grip and throttle tube as a unit, so I need the original off.

The tube is attached to the pulley type gadget that works the throttle. Would it not be easier to remove the heater from its tube. Its a pretty major job to dismantle the whole grip.
