Hardley Dangerous

So went down to Sun City Hardley Dangerous for their ride day.
Here's my totally biased and unprofessional two cents worth:
Dyna Switchback - what a load of rubbish. This is HD's answer to global warming = make more useless crap.
Softail Custom - uncomfortable seat, but very good suspension. Light and easy to flick around, like riding a naked 750.
These brakes make the ST feel like a racing bike. Easy tank mounted gauges to see because of the chassis & seating position.
I wear a full face helmet. Sitting still around town the oil tank and exhaust really heat up the rider and pillions leg/foot.
I would own one as a run-about, but that whole feet-forward parachute stance makes it a stupid idea for touring.
This engine/frame had the least amount of vibration at idle.
Road Glide - Wow talk about impressive. The grips were a real mans size, much better than the ST.
High wide bars made for easy steering on such a large bike. Short levers still made braking a chore even with twin discs.
Seat was uber-comfortable. Upright riding position. Short windscreen kept air in my face but no buffeting.
This one was the most aesthetically pleasing to me. Stereo, gauges controls were all awesome.
103 engine vibrates everything at idle but about 2,000 rpm it's smooth as butter. Panniers were crap.
Suspension has been lowered 3/4 inch for street cred, unfortunately this has made the rear waaaay to harsh over bumps.
Road King - One word = plush. Same chassis as the Road Glide but not lowered.
No stereo and back to tank mounted gauges and buffeting over 110. Panniers still crap.
Ugly unless you're into that whole retro thing.

OK so these bikes were all standard and some options may, or may not, fix some of objections.
Had a ball riding around Town(sville) and met some really friendly folks. Some still had their teeth   :crackup
FYI: I still came home on the ST, and now I think my brakes are great :thumb
