Was a pleasure Barry. Next time I look at a bike for you I will make sure it comes with a GPS........
Laurie
Thankyou brother Laurie. Yes, you must lift your game in the GPS department. I confess to having travelled a most unwanted detour around some of your local roads when I headed for Ballina instead of Bungalow yesterday afternoon. Gravel, mud, rain, having no waterproof liner in my jacket, and rapidly fading light all combined to ensure that I had a most exciting adventure getting back to the Highway. Having said that there were some magnificent vista's along the way so it wasn't all bad.
Brendan's little Hyosung cruiser performed well, there no touring bike that's for sure, but he wanted a cruiser! The thing vibrates like a typical big twin engine, but surprisingly settles down nicely at a rather useful speed of 140kph. I might add the bike still pulls strongly when you snap open the throttle at that speed and it feels rock steady on the road. We had read lots of dissapointing reports about reliability issues and quality of finish on these bikes, mostly focused on the earlier 2005-2008 models. Later reports I've read seem to confirm that Hyosung have got their collective act together in recent years and shown significant improvement in both aspects of their later model bikes. So hopefully Brendan will enjoy a trouble free run with a bit of luck . Thanks again Laurie for checking the bike out for him.
