Looking at the amount of heat the burner produces, and the close proximity to the rider, he's pretty gutsy!

The skateboard has him sitting on the burner which is mounted above the fuel. 
... he doesn't fry 'em.
By his actions, he is what I would term as a
temporary american, but by his age, he's proved me wrong. Either way, very foolish actions and even more foolish posting videos of these exploits which is only gunna lead to others attempting to follow, some not as lucky.
