It's been a while since I have been on here, been very busy so...
Ok, had a couple of misfires over the time I have owned this, around 9-12 months .
Ride my bandit around for a while due to it being registered and the ST out of rego so figured I would rego the st, prior to this I was considering also buying something with 2 cylinders, TDM900, triumph Bonnie or something, anyhow too the ST out for a ride and yep, it dropped two cylinders.. being a bit on the positive glass half full thought process I figured it would save me a few bob, already got something with two cylinders 😁
Thought maybe it was the coil so ordered one just in case, took of the bodywork on that side today( fair fooks, what a job that was) finally got it removed vand started the bike, still no joy so poked around the leads a bit and still only running on two..
Pulled off one of the connectors on the coil and replaced it, nice tight fit, pulled off the other one and quite loose, it wasn't on correctly so I made sure It slid over the spade part as it should, nice and tight..
Bang!! Well not literally but all 4 cylinders running better than they ever have..
Would anyone like to refit the bodywork for me..😁😁 joking of course..
Re the moly for the rear splines, I found small tubes available from an airgun place, Custom air seals,
50% MOLYBDENUM DISULFIDE GUN GREASE 10g
Seems to work great and around $20 per tube plus post..
Cheers, I'm off to try get this bodywork back together..
