Yeah, but that assumes the worst case scenario.
From a quick look at the BDM.vic.gov.au website it seems that there is not a public register of deaths, you need to apply for a death certificate, to do that you need to be eligible to apply, ie. a family member (ie. we ain't eligible), and then go through a few hoops and over a few hurdles, as well as pay a fee. And then wait a coupla weeks.
In the meantime, I hope Kev isn't reading these posts - although if he his, I expect a prompt, and not very complimentary post from him.
