I've arrived in Gladstone Qld, travel home tomorrow with the longest leg of the entire ride 900k's to Townsville.

The new Michelin pr2's seem ok so far, bit of rain yesterday and they felt safe.

I'll let you all know when I'm home...

Departing tomorrow (good Friday) at around 5:30am just under 900k's so an early start to try and beat some of the heat.

Mrs Sabie is following in the car. It's amazing to get the same distance out of fuel as the car does.

Fuel at Rocky, top up in Mackay.

If I get fatigued, I'll pull up and motel it ...

After 9467 K's new set of tyres, I don't know how much fuel. Had to top up the credit card yesterday $10,000....

Worth every cent

900 k's today, the trip to Middleton has cured me of motorbikes for at least........ 8 hrs  :crackup

As for 2014, I would love to, but work is in turmoil and 12 months is a lifetime away at the moment. If its possible I'll be there, only this time it will be plus 1 as Mrs Sabie has clearly stated she will not be left behind again... The boulevard or the vstar may get a run....

Well if mrs Sabie wants to fly in, it is only a hop and a skip to Melbourne airport, one of the reasons we picked Ballarat was because we wanted it more accessible to people who want to only pillion one way, or bring family in  :thumb

She has her own set of wheels X 2 a Suzuki Boulevard C50T (800cc) and a Yamaha Vstar 650 Classic, there's no way she'll get on the back of mine, she to independent.
