Change of Name
« on: November 06, 2012, 09:35:33 PM »
Will it cause much of a problem, post wise etc, if I change my name?

I ask because on the Blue Knights forum I am known as Poppy Dave and I am thinking of putting my name on the bike so I would MUCH prefer to have just the one name there, not;

Poppy Dave
roper5874

AND NO, I'M NOT HAVING 'ONENUT' WRITTEN ALL OVER THE SIDE OF MY BIKE !!!

I also have a name tag with Poppy Dave on it so it would save an awful lot of confusion.

I don't mind keeping the "ONENUT" as a nickname on the forum but I'd like to change to Poppy Dave.

Any problems?

This will take some getting used to, but I guess if it makes Poppy happy, I can live with it.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Just in case anyone wants to know (cares), one of the guys I used to work with heard my granddaughter call me Poppy Dave one day and he spread it round the office so I became known as that.

I've been called Poppy Dave for the past 4 or so years at work so I might as well be known by one name by all, instead of trying to remember who calls me what.

Further: My bike is called "Chloe" after said granddaughter.

So there you go................. You can all sleep easier now.
