I have a question for the Brain trust.  :-++
I trying to work out my fuel range on my bike (cruiser) but I don’t know the maths.  :||||
I have a 17 litre tank; I did 215 kms and put in 13 litres.  :crazy

Gaz.
Divide the number of litres used, by the number of hundreds of kilometers travelled to get your fuel consumption.
ie    13 divided by 2.15  =  6.05 l/100km.
Therefore your full tank range is 17 litres, divided by 6.05 l/100 km  which is 2.80 hundreds of kilometers, which of course is 280 km.
(I can't believe I could do that so early in the morning after a big night last night)

 thats graet news i was going on 220kms per tank.
the americans are saying "get somewhere between 140 and 160 miles on a tank"  :think1

That's distance to empty of course, no allowance for reserve, or increased fuel consumption due to more speed, throttle, hills, wind, load etc.
(Standard waiver of responsibility, in case you run out of fuel at 270km)

Gaz, if you have an iPhone/iPad, there are a couple of free fuel economy calculators on the web that seem to be quite good.

Don't forget that you need to do the measurements a number of times over a number of trips so that you can get a decent average, not rely on a single trip to give you a figure. I used a free app called "Fuel Economy Calculator" by Corbenic Consulting for a couple of months and it shows not only average K's per tank but all the usual statistics including cost per K. Once you have the figure then you know the answer and don't need to use it any more.
