Count me in but I may have to pass on the group ride...  :blu13 :blk13 :13Candy :blk11 :wht11
I work the night before and will have to gauge weather or not I'm alert enough for the ride at 06:00 when I finish... or if I'll just meet up at the end for the feed and chat :eat :phone :beer :grin

Either way it'll be fun :runyay

Cheers
Shiney

Ok, I have decided to take the safe option and get a little sleep before heading off, so I'll meet up with everyone at the hotel :hatwave

IanB and Diesel,

Let me know when your leaving and I'll meet you on the highway somewhere, Anzac Ave on ramp or Dohles Rocks Rd on Ramp.  Feel a bit exposed just south of the Pine Rivers Bridges.

Hope your problems are sorted by tomorrow Diesel.

Diesel, can you pass my phone number on to IanB, thanks.

Cheers,

So where's the ride report?  It's 9:30 PM and still nothing!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Sorry about the delay :-[

Here is my ride report...

After working all night I went home, had 2 hours sleep and then got ready for the ride :runyay
Gaz joined myself and Carrol and we left at about 10:00.

Gaz 01 09 13 OzSTOC RTE

It was a beautiful day for a road trip and I think everyone else thought so too :think1 :think1 as soon as we reached the highway on the south side of Brisbane we ran into massive amounts of traffic that were traveling a fair bit below the speed limit :||||

Traffic 01 09 13 OzSTOC RTE

After some time we left the highway and went through some beautiful country leading into Murwillimbah

OzSTOC RTE 01 09 2013

We arrived at the hotel, had a brilliant lunch and enjoyed spending a great time with a great bunch of people

Murwillumbah Hotel 01 09 13 OzSTOC RTE

After the great lunch and conversations everyone headed for home, Gaz, Carrol and myself headed for the highway and rode that all the way back to the north side of Brisbane, Traffic was even worse this time :fp and a trip that should have taken me 2 hours instead took 3 :eek

But we made it home without letting the traffic congestion dampen our spirits (too much :grin)

Anyway we had a great day and would like to thank all that were able to make it :hatwave

Cheers

A pity you got stuck on the slab all the way home.  The road up to Nerang, then Mt Nathan at least gets you up to Oxenford, and is a beauty.  If you've got a bit of time to spare you can skip Nerang and slip over Beechmont to Canungra and hit the slab at Beenleigh.  Another top road.  Might have still taken nearly three hours, but you would have had a lot more fun.

Ride there was fantastic.   :grin
Food and company were awesome as usual.  :thumbsup
Conversations were many and varied.  :clap
Ride via Tomewin Rd towards home was great. :runyay
Ride home in Sunday traffic resulted in the longest metal canyon ride I've seen yet.   :|||| :|||| :||||
