Introducing Sir Chilly
« on: June 09, 2013, 10:00:22 AM »
Hi fellow st owners, my riding group here on the west coast gave me my nick name sir chilly on account of my name (chill..... chris hill)  I have been riding for nearly forty years and this is only my fifth bike, I still own a VFR 800 which I use as my everyday ride, and I will use the st to go to church on sunday!!!  Now I have promised the handbrake I will sell the VFR one day( i just didn't tell her which day)  :rofl :grin and I think I am the luckiest bloke I know as I have purchased one of the last new sts in perth finished in black, having paid a kings ransom for the top box I now need to lower the seat height( I have ducks disease) I have fitted a throttle lock which on its maiden run to Kalgoorlie was greatly appreciated.
Now I would like to sort out the foot pegs and maybe a few accessories and it will see out my riding days . :blk13

Welcome Chris from Toowoomba in Sunny Queensland (cool & wet today)  :beer
I also have a new Black ST 1300
They don't miss you on the Top Box $970 over here but I was lucky as they had one in spare parts and had it color matched it
for $500. I use the latest model Gold Wing footpegs they are bigger and a little lower.

Enjoy the Bike  :grin Enjoy the Forum  :grin

Welcome, Sir Chilly. Im a very new member as well and thoroughly enjoy the forums. You need not feel lone in suffering ducks disease as I am similarly afflicted. I, too would like to lower the seat/ride height so maybe we can share ideas. Ive set my seat to the lowest of the three settings, removed the sheepskin etc but would like to be closer to the ground still. In the meantime just enjoy the ride.   John :slvr13 :thumbs

Welcome to the best brand forum on the 'net.

You'll find there's more to be done than throttle locks and pegs.  Say goodbye to lotsa money (otherwise wasted on useless things) and prepare to invest in great farkles.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Welcome Sir Chilly, from the subtropics where they say It's beautiful one day, better the next.

But 'they' say an awful lot. Some of it not so beautiful, and some quite topical.

Here at OzSTOC they seem to speak a lot of Honda of the ST dialect.

You'll get used to it. There's lots of great ST stuff on board.
