Spare parts in Australia?
« on: June 12, 2013, 07:44:21 PM »
I am looking for two new "crash bar" covers for my 95 st1100. I think that's what they are called. They are the small covers that go over the small bars on each side. Does anyone know a good st1100 parts supplier in Australia?

Cheers

Those you should be able to collect from your local Honda shop, I believe that they arent too expensive, so not worth shopping for OS.

Been waiting for this moment all week. A reason to say something and hit that milestone of 100 posts. I'm so excited :runyay :beer

The parts you want are listed as engine covers, left or right. Just bought one, ordered it through my local bike shop. Cost me $130 from Honda supplies in Melbourne. Way too expensive for what they are, but no alternatives other than pay the price.

From here but you'll have to do a search for them via make an model. Any 1100 will do as they're all the same. Prices should similar at any dealer but freight cost might be higher depending on where you live.

Plus Postage.

Price OS from David Silver Spares is comparable Australia @ about $30 each.

I think what you bought was the engine cover insert in the fairing that you remove to add oil or change plugs etc. which has a price of about $105 at the above website.

Mal is after the wing covers.

Your right Alan,

Was around the $34 mark. Must have been too excited about my 100th post that I put in $130 instead of $30. So used to the exorbitent prices from Honda that automatically start at the $100+ mark.

Just got a call that my rubber connectors have arrived (the rubber boot between the carbys and the head. They are only $17 each, pleasant surprise, not like Honda at all. Hopefully will be an end to my fuel feed problems.

I was shocked when I got the sidecover bolts for only $5 from Honda. Overseas websites have them at more than that.
