My new STable

Finally after so long of having to move cars out of the double garage to get the bike out. And then having to do the same to get it back in and move it around (200 point turn).

My wife suggested we build a new garage for the STeed. "Really?" I sad, "That's a GREAT idea, Why didn't I think of that."  :whistle

Finally work has begun. I'm super excited My Beloved STeed gets her own STable.

Before excavation starts














So the final result will be a Single car Garage with auto roller door...

It might be because of the grain in the area and as a precaution in case of any future rat plagues.

A Rat wall is a trench under the wall which is either filled with concrete or mesh to stop rats burrowing under and into the building.

Nah the slab is the overall area, the rat wall is part of the footings as shown below; this trench is filled with concrete to stop rats from burrowing under the slab and entering and nesting in the structure.

Yes it's true it keeps critter's out from under your slab,but the main purpose is to provide extra strength to the structure,also helps greatly with heaving.
