Purchased a Harley Davidson
« on: July 23, 2013, 10:17:05 PM »
Hello all What a great time I have had with my ST1100 . Met some great people and travelled a lot of roads.
I made a good decision after reading a lot of forums and purchased a new Harley. Picked it up last Monday
It is 2013 Harley Switchback Ember Red. Beautiful colour. It has a windscreen and rear panniers. 103cubic inch motor and I have added the Vance & Hines exhaust to come out on each side. To me it evened the bike up.
Went out riding on Sunday covered 298 km and fuelled up when I got home.
I hope to go riding with Bodie (son) as he has a Harley Night Train.
I am looking at adding my ST to the for sale column.   :wht11

It doesn't matter what bike you own as long as you enjoy the long and windy roads of the country side.

So honey (ST2UP) give the guy a break.  :-(((

Hi JohnoJ.   I have ridden around Oz with two mates on Harleys, so they can tour.   Mind you, one needed a full engine rebuild (just 40k on the clock) when it got home!   Congrats on the new bike, and keep on riding.

I made a good decision after reading a lot of forums and purchased a new Harley.

Never seen such a bold contradiction in so short a sentence.     :eek

Sorry about your confusion.  Don't sell the ST yet.  You'll need it for when the Hardley is in the workshop.    :grin
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
