Just for fun CFMOTO 650TK

Someone is to blame.
A couple of weeks ago someone posted a picture of a CFMOTO 650TK
Now that caught my fancy and although I already have a Yamaha XVZ1300 Royal Star.
and the ST,
I want to see and try the 650 TK.
Everything that I have read suggests to me that It would be a great ride and most suitable as a sometimes substitute for either of the other two rides.
It weighs in at about 200 Kg. and seems to have a fairly lively performance.
 Red line at about 10500 and max t.at about 7000
100 klm Ph. at 4500 if I got it right and a reported top speed of 200 K.Ph
I am sorely tempted.
A lot smaller and a lot lighter than the ST and a bit less powerful and not as fast
Supposed to retail at $6990.00 plus orc. I have been quoted at $7450. drive away.
Question is?
Do I hazard a test ride and and then possibly have a seniors selfish moment and possibly spend all of the hand me down inheritance.
What do you all think?
That means that I will possibly have three lovely road bikes and two trailers.
I wonder if and when I will get to use them?

Irrelevant question.  If you got a similar inheritance to me, you owe the world nutthin' !

The important question- can you find enough riding time to keep three bikes happy?

One other big Question?
Do I spend the money on the rego and insurance , or on the needed consumable (Petrol)?
I guess that this is when I get the old Credit Card out and book up a small liability to the bank , I suppose that this is when I have spent the largess in the form of my WA. govt  pensioners fuel car?
Guess what?
I have answered my own question !
I am going to book a test ride in a couple of months when the stealers have most probably sorted themselves out and will probably solved the LAMS power restriction problems and will be hungry to get their handS on a few stray dollars.
I wonder if i have made any of you jealous yet?

As the 1100 gets heavier for me to hold up I am thinking along the same lines. I have recently bought a Moto CF500 quad for half the price of my brother's Suzuki and I think that the quality is right up there with the Jap stuff. I can look at it and see the same components as are on a lot of Yamahas (brakes, electrical, Mikuni carb, etc) and all the bolts I can see are high tensile grade 8.8. It worked out the same price as a 5 year old Jap one with the upgrades (6 ply tyres, 2500lb winch, etc) that came on the new CF. Buying new means that I will never wear it out with what I do. Hope to see how the TK goes in a couple of years.

Where were those sort of bikes when I stated riding.  Looks good for the price, and any minor tweaks needed such as suspension could be done in time.

Went to the local dealer this morning and they have the NG650 (naked bike) on the floor. Looked as good as the Yamaha beside it (and some of the welds were better), but you have to remember that a lot of Yamahas are made in China these days. I think that the CF is value for money, but like most new models expect some 'teething' problems. The salesman looked up the weight of the TK, 220Kg wet. About the same as most 650cc road bikes.

I spotted one of the quads in Fiji a year ago. The best looking quad I've seen. I just had to go and check it out. At that point, I'd never heard of CF Moto. Only time will tell with their product I guess.

Winston after you test ride it let us all know what you think.
One of the guys at work is looking to do Qride next year and may be interested in getting the LAMS version as his first bike.
It would be good to tell him what an unbiased rider thinks of it.

Went and had a close look yesterday but not a ride.
Neat looking bike but it is built to the price.

Build quality seems good.
Swing arm is smaller than my forearm.
Sidestand is two inches - 5cm too short. even at 200kg it will be a big lift for some to get it upright if parked on a slope. 
Seat ergonomics mean you won't be breeding since the seat forces you forward.
Pillion pegs are set really high and close to panniers.
No aftermarket farkles.
Secondhand deaville with the 700 motor would be a better buy.

I know a few ladies who have the Deaville Honda ,i have ridden one myself there's much to like,so yes i agree i think a second hand one a better bet than the cfmoto

Yer the later devil with the bigger motor is a delight - even with a pillion, just gotta change gears more often.
The earlier models were a bit on the weak side.
Nice touch on the later models is the adjustable screen - not electric but a push up and down with out undoing screws or clips.
Looked at it and wondered if the motor and sliders from a 1300 would fit under the dash.
