Paddy was in court and after an 8 hr trial he changes his plea to guilty.

Judge says " why didn't you plead guilty in the first place & save the court all this time and expense" ?

Paddy says "I thought I was innocent, until I heard the evidence."

Unfortunately that's too true to be funny!
It seems the majority of felons are convinced of their innocence until they are found guilty.  I think they live in hope their lawyer will find a technicality or be such a persuasive arguer that they will get off.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Umm.  Yes, I thought it might be.  A lot of Irish anecdotes are.  And I made an observation about society...

God was sitting with His Archangel Gabriel detailing what He would bless each country with.

When He came to Scotland He waxed on lyrical about beautiful green valleys, steep glens, breathtaking views over the Loch's.

After a while Gabriel interrupted Him saying, 'Is this not far more beauty than apportioned to other countries, my Lord, such an over abundance of beauty, perhaps?'

God hesitated, then replied, "Ah yes, well then. I haven't told who their neighbours are going to be yet, have I ?"
