Spent all last weekend on it and then it has rained every day here since ....
Listening to the rain right now outside an it is Friday night !!!!!   :|||| :|||| :||||
Still got out for an hour or so yesterday when i picked her up again from the shop.
Steering lock wouldn't work and pass light didn't work.
Steering lock was apparently the key and it seems the coppers cut the pass light to go to something else so a quick rewire and all is well again :-)

Just trying to work out now how to rekey the panniers to the bike key.
Will post some pics when the rain dies and i get out again  :grin

First of all, Welcome!!!!

Secondly, to extend your riding time, get some good wet weather gear (Jacket that goes below the waist. wet weather over-pants, gloves and REALLY GOOD tyres.

I run Michelin Pilot Road 3's on my ST1300 and ride all year round to and from work.  The PR3's are great wet or dry.  :grin
Even though I'm in 'Sunny' Brisvegas, it has been one of the wettest years for number of wet days.  and I've never once felt compromised.

I had a brand new set fitted on a very wet day and at the lights in front of the shop, the bike lifted the front wheel on take off over the white line. Not even a twitch.

Cheers,
Gary

As i said... it was...  might have to look at upgrading system ....
Running full Exchange server, plus 12TB storage server for customer server backups, plus Plex Server, as well as work machines and Asterisk PBX server kinda upped the power bill.

Have virtualized a couple of servers so down to only 3 physical server boxes now so that helps.... My PC is a laptop so low power draw there and PBX is running on old Atom based SFF box so very low power draw there. Just the VM host and Exchange servers that kill me ....
Can't have your  :Cake2 and eat it too ...  and saving a hell of a lot more $ having business here rather than paying rent...

Computer Tech ...  Own small company here in Perth..  We used to travel all around WA, SA and NT setting up interactive whiteboards in schools...  got sick of that after a couple of years so I suggested to the boys (had 7 staff) to look elsewhere for jobs and once they had new jobs cut it back to just me and 1 other. Back to basics. Computers, Phone Systems, Data / Phone cabling.

All those pleasant welcomes and new contacts are great.
But backtracking a bit to the comment abt shaving the seat.
Read the manual if the bike has one and you'll find the seat is adjustable.
When it's on the lowest setting you'll have more idea of how much to trim.
Never under estimate the predictability of stupidity.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the tip. Only problem is i have a Corbin seat that was fitted to the bike when i got it and i think only the 1300s had the adjustable seat.
Mine is ex police 1100 so originally it had a single seat i guess and the box for the farkle controllers ....
Thanks again and great to hear from you.
