Interesting reaction there. The brakes were on and off (no ABS?) and he stood it up to run straight at the car. Why not keep the lean and turn going? Admittedly he was already close to touching the metal down, but he might have managed to go behind the car. Easy sitting here, but I'm sure that would have been my reaction. Only stand her up if you're running off the road and want max braking effectiveness.
