Hi all, I have just recently become the proud owner of a '99 ST1100 and would like to introduce myself.
My name is Tom and I have logged on as Panman50 as my bike is a 50th anniversary model.
I have been riding since I was 17 and yes, that was a while back, I have always ridden sports or sports tourers with my last bike being a '94 ZZR600.
As age and waist line have increased, me and the Missus would like to do more of the weekend rides in a bit more comfort with a bit more grunt to push us both around.
We discovered this need for comfort and speed after a country cruise with a local group over here in Perth and after 6 hours in the saddle we desperately needed a arse transplant.(Won't forget that one for a while)
I must admit the thought of the monstrously heavy St1100 was daunting but once the wheels start turning what a beautiful ride, looking forward to some finer weather to get some k's under the belt.
Anyhoo, so far looks like a great forum with great topics and feedback. Would love to be part of the community.
