Queensland Newby
« on: October 04, 2013, 10:45:54 PM »
Hello all.  I just put a deposit on a 2003 ST1300A this arvo in sunny Queensland.  My last ride was an R1150RT Beemer that I sold last October and had regretted ever since.  I will pick it up in the next couple of weeks and hopefully get some time to take part in ride days in the south-east of Queensland and Northern NSW.

Thanks for the warm welcomes.  Firstly Gold Coast is my patch and the trusty steed is silver.:slvr13  When I had the RT I did most of my exploration in the south-east corner and Northern NSW.  (Tyalgum, Murwillumbah, Kyogle, Boonah, Beaudesert, Rathdowney, Toowoomba, Esk and the Sunshine Coast to name but a few.)   I am mighty impressed by the quality of this community and the forum.  I hope to add some valuable content as I learn about the ST.

Yep, you're right.  It's a quality bunch in here.

And I see you've already ridden some quality roads in the SEQ.  You won't look back at the Beemer now you've scored an ST.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Finally picked it up yesterday morning.  New oils in the engine and the final drive.  Only a short ride with the daughter last night.  Had to do a bit in the yard today and got too much sun.  Splitting migraine.  Either too much sun or I've done something to my neck.  No riding for me today. :||||
