G'day everyone
« on: March 07, 2014, 03:23:19 PM »
G'day everyone,
My wife and I have 2 ST 1100s. We bought the first bike on a recent trip to the UK and used it around southern England and down through France and Spain. The bike is in storage in the UK waiting for our return in 2015 when we will visit the IOM and a lap of Ireland and Scotland.
We have just bought our second ST in Brisbane and although living in Adelaide we will leave the ST in Brisbane for when we visit friends and family there 3 or 4 times a year.
Obviously I have a soft spot for these fine machines and love their reliability and ease of travel.
It will be good to make your acquaintance and we look forward to sharing tips and experiences.
Regards
Chopper Bob

Enjoy the forum and the massive amount of ST1100 information it has stored.

Hi Chopper Bob, and welcome to OzSTOC from the SA crew.   We'll have to catch up some time.  Watch the thread for the Ride to Eat (RTE) to Mannum Hotel on the 26th April.  It would be good to see you come along.

which obviously means you need a third ST if you don't already have one.  You might round out your collection by having an ST1300 in SA.
Welcome to the fray.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Thanks for the welcome guys. It is great to be aboard.
I do have a SA bike but sorry to disappoint you all, it is a BMW 1200 GT.......great mile muncher but these days with horsepower not being at the top of the list, I would just as soon tour on the ST
I wont have the ST in Adelaide until November so I look forward to catching up with ST owners before then if possible.
The UK bike was sensational value. 46000 miles, in great condition and all for 1600 pounds....ya gotta be happy with that!
Regards

It wouldn't be the first BMW at a ST event, so you're still welcome to come along the the Mannum RTE on the 26th April.   :thumb

A short overnight trip in March to Ballarat with that BMW would see you meet most of the clan.

See here for details....
