All the engineering to achieve those revs from V8s and V6s is amazing.
I can't get excited about it, and really can't see how it qualifies as a sport, even given the forces the drivers have to be fit enough to resist.
BTW, is that you in the hearing protectors in the row in front in the 2013 race, Marcus?
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

The thing that fascinates me about this sort of racing is that, to the audience at the racing, the speed of these missiles makes them visible for a second or so only, and that they are simply noise makers for the rest of the time, so can anyone tell me what the actual point of interest is? because I have no idea.

Same goes with the motogp as well, You see more on tv, but guess it's all about the atmosphere, not my cup o tea, But I have to admit I liked the sound better then I do this year

Lucky we're all different. It's what makes the world go round. Boring old world if we all lived for croquet and bingo.
Getting wind in my hair while I still have some.
