Well girls and boys, you know i own a fantastic Black ST1100.....

as many found out at national rally I have a new bike!
The Saturday before rally I took delivery of a 2006 White ST1300, with 64,000km on the clock, a new Set of PR3's, Wind Delfectors, aftermarket seats and complete with a Honda Top Box

It all started with some eBay browsing the two days before, and I found it for sale, and it was an OzSTOC member in Tweed Heads by the name of Bear, he was an absolute gentlemen to deal with, he brought the bike up to Gatton for me, (at this stage teela does not know about bike), as I was at the Gatton sprints with teela Doing a work display.
Here is Peter and I at inspection time

Then I handed over a wad of cash, teela said what the, and bingo I had a bike! Bear had forgotten one of the keys but he was going to post it down.

Conveniently ChrisJ turned up with jacket and helmet in hand to ride it back to toowoomba for me, teela still looking amused at me....

So it was back home from work to my nice new bike in my shed, and I could not help myself out for a ride I went! And I learnt a harsh reality, be very careful locking your HONDA top box on, as I rode over a railway line, and all I could see was my top box sliding down the road, now I don't have any photos of this but just imagine man in helmet swearing and jumping up and down....
Here is some pics of the damage...

That aside, Leo and chris where at my house when I got back to console me, although they stayed in the house and let the steam stop coming out of the shed before they ventured out.....
Leo stayed around to help me change the main oil and filter, and also the final drive oil as I had full plans of riding it to rally!
Ok that was Saturday, now to Sundays story..
Now owned bike for 22 hours....
I got the bike out to wash and pack it for the trip to rally, now remember I said I had one key....
So I finish washing the bike, and then I go to open the left pocket with the key and snap.....goes the key...leaving for rally in 22 hours...no key...ahhhh

But bear to his credit took my phone call, and met me halfway between tweed heads and toowoomba, a 2 hour round trip for both of us!
Then 2 weeks later, a 5,000km test ride on the bike it was fantastic!
Couple shots below of how I felt about it all.

Big thank you's have to go to the following people:
Bear for being one heck of an understanding seller
ChrisJ for riding the bike home

And everyone who was jealous that I have aftermarket seats that are really comfy!
