It is time to say goodbye....

It is time to say goodbye....

After 3 glorious years, 30,000 km, far to much money spent, and more smiles and laughter that I could have wished for, it is time to say goodbye....

To my good friend, loyal companion, drinking buddy, late night confident, and best of all my escape,

Thank you

My ST1100 has departed the building, heading to Townsville to its new owner Arthur who I hope gets the same enjoyment I have, it's going to be strange not seeing her in the shed  :'(

Sob!

That's so moving...
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

No doubt your pensive mood is tempered by the fact that you now have a ST1300, which could only be improved upon by painting it red.

I have solved the separation problem by just keeping each old bike for some sort of future plans I have  :think1 :OldMan

Many of us eventually trade in on a younger model - bikes, I mean, not wives.

I can understand the sadness - riding a bike is very physical and the bike becomes a personal thing, almost as if it were a part of you.

It's always sad to see one of your bikes go :'(
But it's not so bad when you know that it's going to a good home where it's going to be used and loved :thumbs

And I can assure you it WILL be seen on the pages within again.  Will be good to have another 1100 amongst all the 13's.
