Looks like my bike is not the only one to "groan" after a ride

Found this on the US Site. No one here seems to have had the same issue.
When i stop the bike after a run i get a "groaning" noise come from the fule cap. If i release is a bunch of air whooshes out and then after a while it all starts up again as the tank must pressurise again.

Yep, nothing to worry about. Just the bike saying it wants to keep playing..

Yep mine does that to, though not to that extent. Must be part of the tank venting system?

Mine does it too. Nothing to worry about, just bike sighing after a good ride.

Mine has always done it, particularly in hot weather. The whale noises start up not long after stopping. Cleaning out the vent every so often (give it a good spray with cleaner) just to make sure vacuum does not build up. Noises means it is working.

ST1100s tend to do it more obviously.

Mine has been doing this for years but never knew the reason. At least now I know it is not a problem.

I fixed it for Pezzz, gave him the cap from my spare tank, now his 11 no longer does it but the spare tank in the shed does.

Just replace the filter and make sure the hoses are ok.
