Here's the best bit:
"When it was replaced by the faster, gruntier, lighter, shorter and much funkier looking ST1300"    :grin

I have no idea why there is such a predominance of BMWs in the top 10.  No problem with the 3 Hondas and 2 Triumphs being there.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Interestingly no mention of the police involvement with the bike, 5 out of 5, is a little low, but acceptable. :Stirpot :wht11

Remember to complete the words "there was a faint muttering among some of the Pan People that Honda had missed the mark with the new bike, and the point of just what had made their original Pan so special."

You can tell it is a UK or European based top ten, as no Harleys etc in it. The BMW LT has always been underrated, as it is a great heavy tourer.

Here's the best bit:
"When it was replaced by the faster, gruntier, lighter, shorter and much funkier looking ST1300"    :grin

A bit of harmless selective quoting.     :p

Possibly due to the 1100 being designed in Germany and for the European market where the 1300 was a Japanese design for a world market.

As they say "when your on a good thing, stick to it." So glad I bought my 1100 eight years ago and decided to keep it.
