In 2013 Honda cut the price of ST13s so far there was a stampede on them.

Sadly that was a one-off.  They're all gone forever in Oz.
OzSTOC might have to become an importing agent and add them to the Shop!    :grin

It's interesting to see that sales of the FJR1300 have jumped as well.

People too late to get a new ST13 buying second best.   :grin

Second best?  Mmmmm, I'm not sure about that.

I remember reading an Austrialn Road Rider (around June or July 2013 edition) on a flight back from Sydney in July last year.  It read something along the lines of despite the new FJR being head and shoulders above it's competition, it will struggle with its new price, especially as Honda had just discounted the ST13 by $9K.  I couldn't wait for the plane to land so as I could ring around a few dealers.

I preferred and would've bought the 2013 Yamaha FJR1300 with its standard higher specs (adjustable handle bars, heated grips, cruise control and traction control), but at $26.5K (plus on road costs) it was more than $10K dearer than what I paid for the new ST1300.

In the end the ST13 was the obvious choice, and I'm VERY happy.

So there ya go.  You answered your own question.
Now for about $1200 you can add those few farkles and consolidate your win.
