LINE-X Spray Makes Things Unbreakable
« on: September 24, 2014, 06:21:58 PM »
I might get the car done for super market parking, too many large 4 wheel drives around here

How a thin spray coating can make things nearly unbreakable. From the National Geographic TV show 'Showdown of the Unbeatables.'

It's an interesting looking product, which obviously coats and holds the target item together.  However,  I wonder what happens to the internal structural integrity of the items.   They might appear to be in one piece, but smashed to bits inside the flexible Line-X coating.   Notwithstanding this possibility, it's a useful looking treatment with lots of applications.

In one of their videos, they sprayed a Camaro which made it look like the Hoff's Knight Rider car.  What intrigues me is how would a person stack up in a prang in this car if it's unbreakable? Whilst the air bags might deploy the human inside isn't unbreakable and the crumple zone could be compromised to the point where it wouldn't crumple.
What happens then?
I recall the Mythbusters did a piece on Line-X/Bedliner spray and found it works

To state the bleeding obvious- spray the people in the car, of course!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
