New technology
« on: December 06, 2014, 07:03:55 PM »
In today's Brisbane newspaper motoring section, Dr Giovanni Savino recommends all motorcycles be fitted with a complicated device to prevent them running into things, especially slow moving vehicles.  Apparently BMW have been experimenting with a m/c and a scooter.  The technology has been available in cars since 2008.

The problem is that in Australia, 4.4% of road users are motorcyclists, but they account for 16% of the road deaths.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Who have all adapted so well to new technology at the expense of their own need to be intelligent and ...switched on...Go Figure.

Oh and if BMW are in on it then every things soo much clearer.
