Brightening up to what looks like a beautiful day for riding here at the Gong. All packed and ready to go. But wait...I knew I was forgetting something. There's one more S of the 3 S's that I haven't done. Better take care of that or it'll be a long ride.  ;-*
Red, loud, rowdy, and proud.

I don't want a pickle...I just wanna ride my motorcikle!

Got home at 4.30 this afternoon after a fantastic weekend. Thanks to Grumpy and the caravan park crew for making it go off, and thanks to all who came and made the event a success. Yes, it was a good brownie, ask Tipsy!

The ride back was a bit cold for the most part. Medium to heavyish fog from Gilgandra to Wellington, so no sun. Down to 4c and the ice warning icon lit up - did not really need to be told that! When sun came out still cool, back into Canberra 11c or so.

A few photos leading up to Saturday night, others will post some of the event itself.

The Phantom (Karl) & I got home this afternoon at 3:30pm.

Stopped in Dunedoo for more layers and a hot chocky when A2Z (Allan) pulled up. He rode with us to Mudgee and we went our separate ways.
Like saaz had heaps of fog all the way to Mudgee.

Thank you  ++ to Grumpy for organising, Dave & Bernadette for sharing their own little piece of paradise and to ALL of you for making Karl and I feel so welcome (even though we don't ride ST's). It was a fabulous way to spend the weekend, catching up with friends and meeting new ones.

A very humbled Tipsy.

The morning after  :rofl

There are more but I will do a ride report (via my blog) and include them in there.

Thanks again everyone.

A huge thanks to all who came to Gular for the ride. Hope everyone enjoyed their stay, I know we had a great time and it was great to catch up with old friends and to meet some great new people.

Top marks to a top group.  :beer :beer

Julie had a great time and is now a forum member  (Dliteful).

Photos here http://s872.photobucket.com/user/GularGrumpy/slideshow/Gulargambone%20RTE%20June%202015

I think Diesel should update his forum name to Double D (stands for Damp Diesel).  :rofl :rofl :rofl

Remember, if you close to out here again, call in at least for a cuppa or a bed if you need it.

PS, I would do a ride report, but one line would be a waste. (At least I had a STeed to ride)
Cheers

On behalf of flash and myself would just like to say a big thank you to all involved in organising and putting on this event we had a brilliant time.

We arrived home around 7pm cold and a bit bruised.
Had a great ride home along with cravenhaven.
Taking a slight detour through mudgee due to an updating sat nav. Went to take our so called planned route to find the road closed  :'(
Found our way to another road which took us through some fantastic countryside to be stopped in our tracks by the sight of a dirt road (that wasn't on Google maps  :well )
Being the true men they are we pursued through the dirt road finding some spectacular pot holes on the way. A bit bruised we came out the other side and took the road through Bylong ending up at Denman.
We continued on, Cravenhaven said goodbye and after some dinner we battled through the cold down the freeway and arrived home.

Well done to flash it was a long ride home and your reward was a nice cup of tea made by me haha  :thumbsup

Hope everyone got home safely and are now snuggled up nice and warm.

See you all at the next ride.

Annie  :KissBlow

Just for info and your comfort, forecast for the weekend is

Fri   7 - 19    Sunny
Sat  5 - 18    Sunny
Sun  4 - 17   Sunny

This assumes that the mets got it right  :rofl :rofl

They lied. All those first numbers should have started with '0.'  :eek.

Had a great time on the weekend, thanks Grumpy and Julie especially but all the attendees in general. I must remember to investigate warmer sleeping bags for the next western adventure.

Had a great ride back through the Bylong valley with Ben and Annie, after spending an hour or more struggling to find the entrance  :think1. Finally got home just after 7 and warmed up in front of a roaring fire.

What another sensational OzSTOC weekend away.....I must say that small country towns and their hospitality really shine for me as a RTE Destination.

A Massive thanks to Grumpy and Julie for their organisation of this event  :runyay  :-++ all the feedback that Saaz and I received was nothing but positive.  ;-*

My Pockey free weekend  :-[ commenced in -2 degrees at home and collected a couple of mates (Ian & Brad) in Armidale and Captain Thunderbolt in Uralla.....I must say it took some getting use to travelling with a sports bike with a small tank  :whistle

Arrived mid arvo and set up camp in camp city with the other reprobates with leave passes....

Growly and his new camper became a gathering point......nice one mate  :like

I had a couple of new camp items on this trip to try that proved to be effective....replaced my Thermarest  3.8 cm camp mat with a Exped down filled mat at 7cm with a far more winter friendly "R" value and a Jetboil flash hiking stove....both get a double  :thumbsup

My MSS (Military Sleep System) was brilliant as usual......but this was the first time I had used the sub zero Celsius part of the bag and was too hot at times  :eek could have nearly used the Intermmediate part of the system.

Although sleep was difficult to find for some...... :Stirpot **Dont setup camp in same postcode as Tim**  :Stirpot

The food prepared by the park owners and their helpers were sensational, anything that comes out of a campoven is difficult to beat  :like

A light frost and an even bigger dew had most of the campers break camp late.....

Great to see all the old hands and the people new to our group  :thumbsup

I headed south with Sicman to have a look over a new purchase in the form of a camper trailer....then headed home the following day......

I Left 2 skid marks on the road near Marsden.......one came from a PR4, the other was a different colour.....when a Emu with his head down just looked like a brown shrub just off the roads edge lifted his head and went for a run.....he weaved, I ducked and we both survived to reek havoc another day.

Got home safe'n'sound early last night with just over 1600k's for the weekend.

Weel I got home a 6pm tonight (Tues) after having a wonderful few days and sleeping in the mostest comfortable warmest bed I have had in a very long time.  they's lucky I couldna fit it ona ma Rhonda.
I must give a Great thanks and applause to Dliteful aka Julie, Grumpy's better half for looking after me over the 4 nights I was there
with wonderful food (hehehe More Brownies and Freshly baked apple thingy's in flaky pastry with thick whipped cream Both of them are a treat to be with.
It was bloody good catchin up with the family again.and had a nice ride where it was so good to stay somewhere around the speed limit. lol except for the pain I am starting to feel so much more that I am afraid I have to inform everyone who was NOT there on Sat night that, That was unfortunately my last ride.
The discomfort is such that I am loosing the joy of riding, from my feet to my neck are aching within the first ten minutes or so of starting.
So The most Charismatic bike in the family of Ostoc is up for sale.
asking price for a 2000PY is $3000 .... 100 mm extension the Handle bars + a 30-35 mm risor. (no more leaning forward) 191000 on the clock and belt done at 60000.. I have a few things to finish on it and rego runs out next month. some body should be quick and they could ride her home.
Dont worry I will still be on the forum and will be doing the S E Qld xmas BBQ again this year.
Cheers
