We had a small family gathering today, so I told his story, and we cracked a nice red and toasted John.   Ride on, my friend.   :thumb

Here is a pic from today's farewell to saaz held at the Northbridge Brewing Co, a most appropriate location chosen by Brock.

Shiney suggested that we make this an annual event. To remember saaz, whizz and others who have ridden on.
I thought it was a good idea.
Cheers,
Gary

I was drinking a beer brewed in the establishment, a dark and hoppy beer called a mild. Fitting I thought

Thanks for excellent memorial photo, WA guys!

Annual memorial a good idea.

Arvo All...

Well I thought as the song 65 Roses made popular by The Wolverines and as it's a challenge for raising the awareness for Cystic Fibrosis I thought yesterday I would attempt to incorporate the numerals 65 into remembering John.
So here is my attempt, which began yesterday and concluded at 1650 this arvo.

Thought a ride on such a lovely day would a fitting way to begin, so at 6.5 kilometers, I stopped and took this.

For those who can recall past threads about what other bikes you may have in the shed, John gave out many nudges on me disclosing a little more to what bikes I have collected and enjoy. So this is another one of em, my $65k up specked Vincent HRD

So to you SAAZ...a 6.5% Trappist ale. I would have gotten a bottle of one of your favoured drops from Holgates Mate, Road Trip I.P.A. but then I thought, Nah!  It's only 5.8

Cheers Mate, I miss your arguments, ideas, agreements, but most of all your companionship.

Ciao the can:-)
