Title: hendo (Darren) has ridden on

It is with regret that we advise of the passing of hendo (Darren) from Victoria.

hendo was tragically killed near Strath Creek Victoria on the 18/10/15 while riding his new ST1300. Darren was farewelled at a funeral service on the 28/10/15.


hendo is survived by his wife Vicky who advises that Darren was passionate about his bike club OzSTOC and spoke of the club often.


R.I.P hendo, the road is all yours now.

This is a sad day indeed. Ride on mate.

Hendo was a great mate who was a regular fixture to the OZSTOC events and will be sadly missed.

Oh No!    Hendo attended a number of SA rides as he had family here in Adelaide, and spent quite some time here recovering following his accident after our Nelson RTE in December last year.

Ride on my friend, for you will be missed by your OzSTOC comrades, and condolences to Hendo's family.

Had a quick web search for some details, article removed from VicPol New "due to legal reasons" or the like.  Found this though:

Terrible news. Hendo offered a lot to this community through his posts and presence at gatherings. We are saddened by Hendo's passing and once again rudely reminded of how sudden things can change.
Deepest sympathy to his family and friends at this time.

Very sad indeed, to lose another Ozstocer- or any rider for that matter.  Good of Vicki to report his enjoyment of OzSTOC
Obviously Hendo loved his bike and the riding.  We're all the poorer for losing him.

Just found out about this and I'm absolutely stunned . l will miss seeing you at the RTE's. RIP pal and condolences to all his family and close friends.
