Title: Plug Change

This afternoon, I did the dreaded plug change.

Using the Honda plug spanner, the job isnt too difficult. Easy it isnt, its just fiddly working on the two rear plugs due to space constraints. The only panels to remove are the engine side panels.

The reason for changing the plugs is 18 years of abuse.. and

The old plugs look ok, gap might be a bit big but forgot to measure it before going in the bin.

So all done, and bike still starts and good for another 200000Ks

Plugs will get a burn in tomorrow when I ride with my Son to his work in the morning.

Wow. 200,000k on a set of plugs?  To me that seems amazing.

True, the weird thing is,  with a clean up and a re gap they could have gone back in.

There is no sign of wear..

Back in ancient history times, I used to get my modified V8 Falcon dyno tuned. The old plugs used to show significant breakdown on the cro and you could hear the obvious breakdown.  This is with 20000km on the clock.

The plugs looked fine, though...

Yep, and not cheap. Got em a supercheap, only place that had em and at a reasonablish price

I got mine from the UK, it's crazy but it's way cheaper to get them from there than buying them in Oz... :||||
I think I paid a touch over 30 pounds at the time for the 4 plugs which included postage.

They are up around 35 pounds (roughly $65) now but still way cheaper than buying them in Australia...

I could have ordered some a lot cheaper, but didnt want to wait an undefined time to get them..

Exchange rate isnt great at the moment.

That's the downside I guess, not knowing how long they'll take to arrive...I have that same issue with the headlight globes I've ordered.
