The successor of FarRiders, FarRoad, is running their inaugural Queensland ride on Saturday 20th May to Alpha. The NSW one to Moulamein ended last weekend.
If you have a hankering to go for a decent ride, here's a challenge.
You don't have to be a member- in fact you qualify for full membership by completing a 1000km ride in less than 24 hours. You just need a "Start Docket"- the servo receipt duly stamped with its location and date/time is perfect. You present that at the Alpha pub between 11:30 and 12:00 midday on that date and you get your official FR number. It's an honour system, but not many of us live closer to Alpha than 1000km!
You need to register here:

PM me if you need further info/ encouragement/ psychiatrist recommendations etc.

Thanks Biggles, it looks like it'll be a good ride :runyay
Unfortunately, due to work I won't be able to go, but I'll look forward to reading your ride report :thumbsup

Congratulations Biggles, well done :like

I told the IBA they really should try to include in the map picture some of Victoria and even Tassie at a pinch. Really, all I want is the east coast, since I lost interest in the Indian Ocean when they stopped looking for that Malaysia plane years ago.

Well done Biggles.
