Well we know where they got the design for the handle-bars, grips, clutch and brake controls, etc from, it looks almost exactly like the ST 1300! and 200 Kms from a full tank? not too much touring, more like lots of stopping!!

I think they said 200'mile' range which is about 320kms. Not too bad. It certainly looks like the ST1300 for sure. However if I was in the market for a small tourer a good second hand V-Strom or Deauville would be my choice.

I've heard some reasonable reports on the CFMoto brand, they are reported to have better quality control than many other Chinese brands, but I think I'd wait a while to see how they stand the test of time.

Being chain drive I'd walk past it.......

Not sure how it would go out here with the smaller tank and riding two up and the extra weight. It seems there's no pre-load adjustment on suspension settings either.

At $7600 it's a very economical entry level tourer.  You get enough for your money, but I'd still prefer to spend that on a good second (or third) hand ST1100 and get a real engine, real range and real comfort.  The Chinese are good at copies.  Just need to see how they go after 50,000 kays.  Hyosung have been around for a fair while, but I don't see them gaining in their market share.
