I met with my radio-oncologist today for results following my radiotherapy for the secondary prostate cancer found on my lung.   The results were not what everyone expected or hoped for.. :fp   My PSA is still rising and is slightly higher than it was before treatment, perhaps from more cancer that has popped up elsewhere.    :cuss :cuss        So, more waiting and another review in three months.  I hate the skulking nature of this disease.

Very sorry to hear about the set-back. You're right about the way it silently keeps working.
I deduce there's nothing useful they can do by way of locating the source of the antigens.
I know it moves slowly, but it will seem like a long three months.
You're remembered in prayer.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Hey Pete... Don't let the bastard disease sap your mental energy.... Build up your strength, plan some more great rides, spend time with the ones you love and make the most of every moment... We hope the positive energy conveyed from so many well-wishers, including us, will have a beneficial effect. All our love, John & Kate.

Recently I have more scans and tests, and it seems that my secondary prostate cancer has got a bit of a toe-hold in my right lung.   I met with an oncologist today, and we plan to review how I am going in three months time, and may need to start some treatment then.   It's all a balance between the effectiveness of the treatment and the significant side effects.  I continue to feel fit, strong and healthy.    :thumb

Thanks for the update Pete, I'm thinking that 3 months to next checkup will be a loong worrying time for you, it would for me, on the other hand, I'm thinking it can't be too vigorous/aggressive if they are waiting that long? Whatever, it would be a worrying time, but I would be dancing like no one was watching.

My prayers, as near as I get to them, will be for you, my thoughts are positive that you will overcome this latest attack on your health.

Take care my friend.
