Ride a 94' ST1100 with to many toy's added I'm told, set up for touring.... we are back on a bike after 20 years, last bike was a Katana in the late 80's......live on the New England tablelands of NSW.

Thanks Gents......located at Guyra.....got the ST about 2 years ago after a 20 odd year break, great to be back on the road, even if it is only occasionally, did about 12,000 k's in the first year and only 1,000 in last.....just a hours in the day thing.

You poor bugger!  My Missus comes from Tingha and I thought that was a cold hole until she told me the legends about Guyra temperatures.
I deduce you were born there and one foot is frozen to the spot.  Apart from potatoes and sheep and a few blue people, nothing else survives there!

Cheers for the welcome guys, yeah amazing the amount of people that know about our cool weather......great summers though, but if it cracks 25 degrees the locals are dropping dead in the main st......not a local yet only been here 17 years.

Here's some Guyra trivia for you......less than 2 days a year over 30 degrees......1330 mtrs above sea level.....the wool and spud industry have been surpassed by Tomatoes.......20 hectares under glass......10 mm of rain on the glass house roof produces 2 million liters of run off..... Just on 300 employees.

I'm guessing you go into Armidale for bike stuff.  You'll probably appreciate all the leads you find in here for internet shopping.  Some even buy their tyres (oops, tires) from USA, then fit them just using their teeth and fingernails.   True!

Used to get a great deal from a parts and accessories at the Honda joint in Armidale big range of riding gear......sad to say not on servicing......they can't tell one end of a road bike from the other, great on quads and chook chasers.......got mate in Inverell, a ex kwaka trainned road bike mechanic to do the hard stuff......works for beer, tyres I get from your part of the world in Brissy......170 bucks cheaper delivered than I could buy here for a pair.

Thanks for the intro mate - sounds like things are going well for you. Shame you just missed the National Meeting at Blackheath, but keep your ear to the ground around here as Members pop up in the strangest places all the time and are only too willing to stop for a beer cup of tea anytime!     

You seem to live on one of the main thoroughfares north to south, so I'll make sure I give you a 'hoy' next time I passing through.
