Your Experience: Theresa and I stayed a couple of nights and loved it. There are some interesting local spots to visit which we did at the suggestion of the hosts. Allow a day for return trip to Lake Pedder and Gordon Dam.
The movie "The Hunter" was filmed in this area and the Pub scene shot in National Park Hotel  http://www.nationalparkhotel.com.au/

Location:              Stanley

Business Name:    Stanley Cabin & Tourist Park

Contact Details:    FREECALL 1800 444 818 - https://www.stanleycabinpark.com.au/

Your Experience:   Stayed in the cabins and camped, both good experiences.  Short walk to pub and shops, general store at entrance.   Bakery has the BEST sea scallop pies in Tassie.   Stanley is a well positioned for two or three nights and used as a base for a couple slow one day tours in the region.

Motorcycling, the best time you can have with your pants on.
eBiking, the second best time you can have with your pants on
Afterlife, up there for the climate, down there for the company.
If I'd known I was gunna live this long, I woulda looked after myself better

Your Experience:  Nice, old, quaint B&B, clean rooms, en suite or shared facilities, plenty of hot water.  Get you own breakfast (cereal, toast, tea, coffee, etc.) plus bacon & eggs, etc, cooked by the owner.  Off-street parking (if you're quick).  Long walk to Salamanca Markets and restaurants and the SQUIRE'S BOUNTY (at least six James Squires brews on tap).
